Global Action Plan is a national environmental charity that helps people to make positive changes to reduce the environmental impact of schools, businesses, households and communities in the UK. We run practical programmes that create sustained changes in behaviour through creative and engaging projects.

To achieve a sustainable society, Global Action Plan works to increase public knowledge and understanding of how human behaviour affects our environment and to engage people in practical change.

Programmes and Activities-

By working together in teams, we make the small changes that have a big impact on the things that matter. That's why Global Action Plan has developed a range of programmes, tools and advice to make those changes a little easier.

Corporate
We support large businesses by engaging staff in practical behavioural changes in the workplace. We have worked with over 60 organisations in the last 15 years. Global Action Plan's business programme has enabled employees to cut energy use by an average of 12% and waste by an average of 28%.

SMEs
We provide practical advice to SMEs which enables them to cut their environmental impact and their costs. Our SmartWorks programme assists London-based SMEs whilst partnership projects Envision and RE4D assist South West-based SMEs with resource efficiency and renewable energy.

Communities
Out EcoTeams programme helps teams of householders to explore ways in which they can reduce their environmental impact by examining waste, energy, water, shopping and transport. We are also working with housing association residents through our EverGreen project.

Schools
Our Action at School programme has helped over 350 schools to tackle their environmental impact through action teams led by students. We encourage pupils to measure their school’s waste and energy use and to work together on campaigns to engage their teachers and classmates.

Interactive displays
Global Action Plan has a variety of interactive displays for hire which help people to make the link between their everyday behaviour and climate change, including the Energy Bike and the Carbon Gym.
